Day #12 Food Truck Row on Wilshire Blvd.

I work in an area with multiple high-rise buildings and a very small selection of places to eat. For years the food trucks in front of my building were the best option in the area for people on lunch. Last year the (very few) restaurants on Wilshire strong-armed the city into passing ordinances restricting the amount of food trucks on Wilshire. While it’s not the place it used to be for food truck fans, it is still one of the best places in the city to find the Grilled Cheese Truck next to the Kogi Truck. If you work close to here, it’s worth checking out. Plus you can see a piece of the Berlin Wall.

Some food trucks are better than others so here are the ones to watch out for: Buttermilk, Boba Truck, Coolhaus, Waffles de Liege, Egg Slut, Kogi and Grilled Cheese truck.

You can find the food trucks (not necessarily the ones above; you can follow each truck individually on Google) across from LACMA on the corner of Spaulding and Wilshire on the Miracle Mile.

  1. Is the “Garbage Truck” still there? It’s the pride of Rochester, NY.
